Who Nurtures Seeds of Joy?

The most remarkable transformations often begin quietly in nature. Our teaching team embodies this wisdom, working thoughtfully each day to create an environment where joy and learning flourish naturally.

Ms. Amy

Amy Vincent brings three decades of rich experience in Waldorf education to Seeds of Joy Village. Throughout her career, she has served in multiple roles including Lead Preschool Teacher, Practical Arts Special Subject Teacher for Grades 1-8, After School Director, and Board of Trustees member. Her deep commitment to Waldorf education extends to her personal life - both of her daughters, now 32 and 21, attended Waldorf schools. When not creating nurturing experiences for young children at Wilderness Park, Amy cherishes time with family during game nights, explores new destinations through travel, and finds peace in long walks along the beach. She feels blessed to be part of the Seeds of Joy Village community and looks forward to fostering meaningful connections with families and children throughout the year.

Teaching Assistants

Ms. Ashley

Ms. Ashley is our full- day assistant who brings a wealth of experience in early childhood education to the Seeds of Joy community. Her teaching journey began in 2005 at a local preschool, where she dedicated herself to nurturing young minds until 2018 when she welcomed her daughter. A South Bay native, Ashley grew up in Manhattan Beach and now resides in Redondo Beach with her husband Marc and their two children: ten-year-old Callum and five-year-old Emerson. She completed her education at El Camino College, earning an associate teacher certificate. Ashley's passion lies in working with young children and creating an environment that is safe, fun, and nurturing for their development. Ashley is entering her second year at Seeds of Joy and is an integral part of this special community.

Ms. Aye

Ms. Aye is our afternoon assistant who brings a unique blend of international experience and culinary expertise to Seeds of Joy Village. Born in Texas and raised in Tokyo, Aye's journey with SOJV began when she was searching for a preschool for her first child. Upon walking into the SOJV classroom, she instantly felt at home and knew her search was over. Her deep connection to the school led her to transition from parent to educator, and she is now in her fourth year as an assistant teacher. Her commitment to SOJV extends beyond the classroom, and serves as Vice President on the Board of Trustees for the past three years. With a background in the food industry specializing in alternative and healthier sweets, Aye shares her culinary creations with the children, finding joy in their genuine enthusiasm and honest feedback. As a mother of two children, including one current SOJV student, Aye finds working at SOJV deeply nourishing. She treasures how children help her see things from different perspectives, from their moments of discovery to their contagious laughter. Their honesty - whether responding to her origami creations or letting her know when they're bored - makes each day authentic and meaningful. For Aye, SOJV has become a second home, where she delights in watching the community grow stronger and more connected with each passing year.
