Enrolling in our 2020 School Year - It's not too late!

We are thrilled to be returning to Wilderness Park for the 2020 school year. With safety enhancements and an updated school rhythm, we are preserving the heart of our Waldorf curriculum in the midst of great change.

Key updates: We will have 2 learning pods with 6 children each. Each pod will be led by our new lead teacher Ms. Amy Vincent, who has been a Waldof Teacher since 1995 helming from the Alabama Waldof School all the way to Westside Waldof School. With her joy of teaching she is looking to grow our school and keep our vital program alive.

This year's class will be held exclusively outside in the park. This space is not at all limiting, as it is large enough for ambling and exploring while small enough to contain our sacred classroom. School will include:

  • Waldorf circle time

  • Stories

  • Singing

  • Creative play

  • Beeswax work

  • Felting

  • Woodwork

  • Movement

  • Composting

  • Gardening

  • Building

  • Exploring

  • Connecting with nature

  • Taking care of the turtles and all the living nature at Wildreness Park

  • We will eliminate shared snack, watercolor painting, and shared toys

School will happen rain or shine as long as it is safe.

Parent Participation will occur outside of the classroom. We will be asking parents to join the board and to sign up for duties to help run the school. As you know our school is 100% parent volunteer-run and thus we operated like a co-op to reach our goals as a community.

Apply here if you'd like to be added to our waiting list for this Fall.
