Member Information

Seeds of Joy Village is a non-profit parent participation program.

Parents are also referred to as “Members”. There are members that are on the Board of Directors (also called Directors) and members that do not serve on the Board of Directors. Board Members are carefully chosen and invited to join the board if a position becomes available.

The Board of Directors' main role is to support the Teacher/Director in running the program based on a Waldorf-inspired philosophy and to focus on fundraising. All members, Board Members and Non-Board Members are expected to take on certain duties as membership participation is an integral part of our program. Your active and joyful participation is what makes this program flourish and helps build a strong community.

Due to COVID-related changes, our members no longer share in classroom tasks. Instead, members are asked to meet the following expectations:

  • Pay monthly dues

  • Take on one leadership position for the school. This can include serving as chairperson of an initiative (such as fundraising or diversity), or handling unique school needs such as logistics and planning.

  • Attend Seeds of Joy Village quarterly member meetings, held virtually for the remainder of 2020.

  • Respect and follow Seeds of Joy Village's Code of Conduct.

Seeds of Joy Incorporated does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, mental or physical disability, political belief or affiliation, veteran status, sexual orientation and any other class of individuals protected from discrimination under state or federal law in any aspect of the access to, admission, or treatment of students in its programs and activities, or in employment and application for employment.
